Every Sunday and holiday, services in the church of Obertauern (Wisenegg) at 5.00 p.m.  The church was constructed according to the plans of the master cathedral builder Santino Solari in 1620.

LIFT TICKETS:

Association Lungau-Katschberg-Obertauern - LUNGO: ticket association offering tickets for all lifts between  Obertauern and the Lungau Region (Großeck - Speiereck, Fanningberg, Aineck-Katschberg, Schönfeld - Karneralm). 

CHILDREN'S NURSERY:

Local kindergarten only for local children. Baby nursery "Petzi Bär" in the "Guest House" (tel. 20045-24) - for our guest's children up to 6 years old. Ski-kindergarten in the ski schools for children of guests.

LIFTS & SKI SLOPES:

The 28 lifts and cable cars are located around the village and form a unique ski-circus: the "RED TAUERNRUNDE" and the "GREEN TAUERNRUNDE" ski circuit. This sophisticated system offers the opportunity to ski the whole Tauern-circuit and to return to the start on skis. For repeat runs, there are also very attractive ski slopes in addition to the Tauernrunde. Thus, you can use different snow, light and temperature conditions for your skiing fun. The lifts are accessible on skis from every hotel. You do not need a car during your stay in Obertauern. If you want to cross the National Road, you will find large bridges for skiers.

Total number of transported persons per hour: 38,250; opening hours: from 09.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.; in spring time to 5.00 p.m. The Achenrainbahn and the Kirchbühel lift run half an hour longer every day in order to bring the guests up to the pass height.

95 km of ski slopes,  59 % easy (blue signs), 37 % medium (red signs), 4 % difficult (black signs). At every crossing of ski slopes you will find large signs with maps to help your orientation in the ski area.

CAR PARKING AT THE LIFTS:

Approximately 24.000 sq.m of car parking is at the disposal of the daily guests. NO PARKING DURING THE NIGHT from 10.00 p.m. to 7.00 a.m. No opportunity for night parking for motor caravans in Obertauern. The closest facility for night parking is in Radstadt or Mauterndorf (camp grounds).

NIGHT SKIING:

Every Monday and Thursday from 7.00 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. at the ski lift Edelweißbahn. All. tickets that are valid for more than 1 1/2 days can be used for night skiing.

Guests coming from the Lungau Region and from Untertauern (Guesthouse Hammer) who have a valid lift ticket for Obertauern, the Top Tauern Skiing card or  LUNGO skiing pass, can also use this ticket for the buses of the Lungau Public Transportation to come to the ski area and to return home. (Lift tickets for groups or school groups are not automatically valid on the buses!). Information in the post office in Obertauern tel. 7201.
